Benz Hoping for ‘No Oridinary’ Renewal

Julie Benz has admitted that she is still hoping for a second season of No Ordinary Family.

The show’s ratings have fallen in recent weeks, while series star Michael Chiklis recently signed up to star in a CBS comedy pilot.

“I think we created a great show,” Benz told the New York Post. “We’re on a very tough night and we’re up against three monsters [American Idol, The Biggest Loser and NCIS].

The actress added that she was trying “to be very Zen” about the show’s future.

“I can’t make the decisions happen,” she said. “I always believe there will be another [season]. And if there’s not? There’s always that fear.”

She continued: “I’ve been making a living as an actor. Sometimes [it’s] a great living, sometimes not so good. If you want job security, don’t be an actor.”

Benz also revealed that the upcoming first season finale will end on a “real cliffhanger”.

“It’s a great season finale,” she insisted.

No Ordinary Family airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC

I hope NOF returns for a second season. Julie highlighted the problem for her new program, it’s up against 3 very popular established programs. The network should reschedule the show in a different time slot, maybe a different night and give it a shot!

How about doing that with reruns before the final decision is made?

And what about Michael Chiklis . . . signing up for a new show already? That is soooo bad! I guess we know what he sees in his crystal ball.

Julie, whatever the out come you are the best!

I really hope it returns for a second season as well. The show is getting really good and I don’t want to see it go! It deserves a second season and to be given a different night and time slot.

I think it’s pretty disrespectful for Michael to go ahead and audition for new pilots! I mean the show hasn’t been axed yet..way to support your show!..Not. I was pretty dumbfounded when I heard about him being in a new pilot.

I’m hoping for the best. Whatever happens though, this site will always be here to support Julie!
